Thai Thighs

You may not think you can lose weight while on a eating plan which includes Thai Thighs but it can happen. It is crucial to not eat Thai Thighs or other high calorie poultry every day but in moderation.

For example, I allow myself rich food one meal per week. I eat a calorie controlled diet 6 days a week, say 1200 to 1800 calories each day, and then on the 7th day, I eat whatever I want – within reason of course.

I have been eating this way for the last few weeks and it has enabled me to lose 5 kilos. I have not changed my exercise plan or taken any vitamins or diet drinks. I have simply been aware of what I eat most days of the week and then eat whatever I feel like one day of the week.

I also feel it is helpful if you have some support when trying to lose weight and for that I registered with the Biggest Loser club. They have lots of tools to show you how to monitor your progress and attain your goals.

On my one day off|non diet day|free day per week, I like|prefer|tend|usually like to eat Thai food. I never imagined|thought|believed I could lose 5 kilos while eating Thai meals but am very pleased|happy|glad|elated to see it is possible|does work|can work|can happen. 1/3 cup (75 ml) minced green onions
2 cloves garlic, minced
3 tablespoons ( 50 ml) hoisin sauce
2 tablespoons (25 ml) peanut butter
1 tablespoon (15 ml) soy sauce
1 tablespoon (15 ml) minced ginger root
1 tablespoon (15 ml) sesame oil
1 tablespoon (15 ml) lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon (2 ml) hot pepper sauce
2 pounds (1K) chicken legs or thighs
2 tablespoons (25 ml) chopped cilantro or parsley

In a bowl combine 1/4 cup (50 ml) of the onions, garlic, hoisin sauce, peanut butter, ginger root, soy sauce, sesame oil, lemon juice and hot pepper sauce.

Arrange chicken in shallow baking dish. Spoon sauce over chicken; bake in a 375 degree F (190 degree C) oven for 45 to 50 minutes or until golden brown and juices run clear when chicken is pierced with fork. Sprinkle with remaining green onions and cilantro or parsley.

Makes 4 servings.
