spicy grilled steak

You may not accept that you can lose weight while on a diet which includes spicy grilled steak but it can happen. It is fundamental to not eat spicy grilled steak or other high calorie beef/pork/lamb/veal every day but in moderation.

For instance, I allow myself moderately high calorie food one day per week. I eat a healthy diet for 6 days of the week, say 1200 to 2000 calories a day, and then on the last day, I eat whatever I like - without going crazy of course.

I have been using this method for the last month and it has aided me to lose 5 kilos. I have not increased my exercise plan or taken any vitamins or diet food. I have only been aware of what I eat 6 days per week and then eat whatever I like one day of the week.

On my one day off per week, I prefer to eat middle eastern food. I never imagined I could lose 5 kilos while eating middle eastern meals but am very glad to see it can happen. If you feel like trying some middle eastern food, I suggest you make spicy grilled steak which is one of my most admired middle eastern recipes.

Spicy Grilled Steak (Shawayuh)

This is a Yemenite specialty.

2 pounds beef boneless sirloin steak,
    1 1/2 inches thick
1 1/2 teaspoons coarsely-ground pepper
3 tablespoons caraway seed
3/4 teaspoon ground turmeric
1/4 teaspoon cardamom seed, crushed

Slash outer edge of fat on beef steak diagonally at 1-inch intervals to prevent curling (do not cut into lean). Mix remaining ingredients. Sprinkle on both sides of beef; lightly press into beef. Cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour.

Grill beef 4 to 5 inches from medium coals, turning 2 or 3 times, until of desired doneness, 25 to 35 minutes for medium.

Cut into serving pieces.

Yields 6 servings.

You can vary the recipe to make it a little healthier or with not so many calories as this can help you to lose 5 kilos rapidly. It was successful for me and could assist you to lose weight as well.
