You may not believe it is possible to lose weight while on a diet which includes shrimp and green papaya salad but it is feasible. It is pivotal to not eat shrimp and green papaya salad or other high calorie vegetables & salads every day but in moderation.
For instance, I allow myself high calorie food one day per week. I eat a reduced calorie diet 6 days a week, say 1500 to 2000 calories per day, and then on the last day, I eat what I please – within reason of course.
I have been using this method for the last few weeks and it has helped me to lose 5 kilos. I have not accelerated my exercise habits or taken any pills or diet food. I have just been aware of what I eat 6 days per week and then eat whatever I like one day a week.
I also feel it is helpful if you have professional support when dieting and for that I registered with the Biggest Loser club. They have many tools to help you monitor your progress and attain your goals.
On my one day off|non diet day|free day per week, I like|prefer|tend|usually like to eat southwestern food. I never imagined|thought|believed I could lose 5 kilos while eating southwestern meals but am very pleased|happy|glad|elated to see it is possible|does work|can work|can happen. Note: This dish is popular in southern Mexico.
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
2 tablespoons fish sauce
2 lemons, juiced
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 tablespoon crushed tellicherry black pepper
3 small fresh chile peppers, chopped
24 ounces green papayas, shredded
8 ounces frozen shrimp, cooked, sliced
2 tablespoons peanuts, chopped, roasted
2 tablespoons fresh herbs, mixed, chopped
4 ounces tomatoes, diced
Mix fresh herbs, using chopped mint, basil, and cilantro in equal parts.
Combine sugar, fish sauce, lemon juice, garlic, black pepper and chile peppers in a mixing bowl until sugar is dissolved. Toss with remaining ingredients.
Servings: 8
