You may not accept that you could lose weight while on a eating plan which includes sauerkraut but it is feasible. It is fundamental to not eat sauerkraut or other high calorie vegetables, sauerkraut every day but in moderation.

For example, I allow myself high calorie food one meal per week. I eat a calorie controlled diet 6 days a week, say 1400 to 2000 calories a day, and then on the last day, I eat whatever I want – without going overboard of course.

I have been using this method for the last 2 weeks and it has helped me to lose 5 kilos. I have not changed my exercise regime or taken any pills or diet drinks. I have simply been conscious of what I eat on most days and then eat whatever I feel like one day per week.

I also find it makes things easier if you have some support when trying to lose weight and for that I joined the Biggest Loser club. They have many tools to show you how to monitor your progress and reach your goals.

On my one day off|non diet day|free day per week, I like|prefer|tend|usually like to eat German & Austrian food. I never imagined|thought|believed I could lose 5 kilos while eating German & Austrian meals but am very pleased|happy|glad|elated to see it is possible|does work|can work|can happen. Sauerkraut

5 pounds shredded cabbage
2 tablespoons salt

Pack cabbage into a stone jar or crock, working in salt until juicy. Add water to bring juice to the top. Cover with a white cloth and weight down with a plate. Wash the cloth each day and remove the scum. In three weeks, cold pack in jars for 30 minutes. Leave 1 1/2 inches of space at the top of each jar.
