You may not accept that you can lose weight while on a diet plan which includes russian pot roast but it can happen. It is pivotal to not eat russian pot roast or other high calorie beef/pork/lamb/veal every day but in moderation.
As an example, I allow myself rich food once per week. I eat a healthy diet for most of the week, say 1200 to 2000 calories each day, and then on the 7th day, I eat whatever I like - within moderation of course.
I have been sticking to this diet for the last few weeks and it has aided me to lose 5 kilos. I have not accelerated my exercise regime or taken any pills or diet aids. I have just been conscious of what I eat 6 days per week and then eat whatever I want one day a week.
On my one free day per week, I tend to eat ukrainian food. I never thought I could lose 5 kilos while eating ukrainian meals but am very elated to see it does work. If you would like to try some ukrainian food, I suggest you make russian pot roast which is one of my most admired ukrainian recipes.
Serve with hot buttered egg noodles.
5 medium potatoes, cut into 1-inch pieces
2 medium onions, sliced
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 (3 to 4 pound) beef boneless rump roast,
chuck eye roast or bottom round
1 teaspoon instant beef bouillon
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 cup dairy sour cream
1/4 cup water
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1/4 cup minced dill weed
1 teaspoon lemon juice
Cook and stir potatoes and onions in oil in Dutch oven over medium heat until onions are tender, about 10 minutes. Remove potatoes and onions with slotted spoon. Cook beef in remaining oil, turning occasionally, until brown on all sides, about 15 minutes; drain.
Add potatoes and onions to beef in Dutch oven; sprinkle with bouillon and pepper. Mix sour cream, water and flour with fork until smooth; pour over potato mixture. Heat to boiling; reduce heat. Cover and simmer 1 1/2 hours.
Stir in dill weed and lemon juice. Cover and simmer until beef is tender, about 30 minutes longer.
Garnish with fresh dill if desired.
You can vary the recipe to make it a little bit healthier or with fewer calories as this can aid you to lose 5 kilos rapidly. It was successful for me and could aid you to lose weight also.
