molasses cookies

You possibly will not accept that you could lose weight while on a eating plan which includes molasses cookies but it is feasible. The key is to not eat molasses cookies or other high calorie desserts every day but in moderation.

As an example, I allow myself high calorie food one day per week. I eat a low calorie diet for 6 days of the week, say 1500 to 1800 calories a day, and then on the 7th day, I eat whatever I want – without going overboard of course.

I have been eating like this for the last month and it has aided me to lose 5 kilos. I have not changed my exercise plan or taken any vitamins or diet aids. I have only been careful of what I eat on most days and then eat whatever I feel like one day of the week.

On my one day off per week, I tend to eat amish food. I never imagined I could lose 5 kilos while eating amish meals but am very pleased to see it can work. If you want to try some amish food, I suggest you make molasses cookies which is one of my most admired amish recipes.

Molasses Cookies

5 cups granulated sugar
2 1/2 cups lard
4 eggs
1 cup molasses
1 cup hot water
3 tablespoons baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
12 to 15 cups all-purpose flour

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Cream first four ingredients.

Dissolve baking soda in hot water. Add to creamy mixture. Add vanilla extract and flour. Make small balls and bake on greased cookie sheet.

You can vary the recipe to make it a little healthier or with less calories as this can help you to lose 5 kilos rapidly. It worked for me and could help you to lose weight too.
