You may not accept that it is possible to lose weight while on a eating plan which includes flour tortillas but it is feasible. It is fundamental to not eat flour tortillas or other high calorie breads every day but in moderation.
This is what I do, I allow myself moderately high calorie food one day per week. I eat a healthy diet 6 days a week, say 1200 to 1800 calories each day, and then on the last day, I eat whatever I want – without going crazy of course.
I have been eating this way for the last month and it has aided me to lose 5 kilos. I have not accelerated my exercise routine or taken any vitamins or diet drinks. I have only been conscious of what I eat most days of the week and then eat whatever I feel like one day of the week.
I also think it makes things easier if you have some support when dieting and for that I joined the Biggest Loser club. They have several tools to help you monitor your progress and reach your goals.
On my one day off|non diet day|free day per week, I like|prefer|tend|usually like to eat mexican food. I never imagined|thought|believed I could lose 5 kilos while eating mexican meals but am very pleased|happy|glad|elated to see it is possible|does work|can work|can happen. 6 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
2 teaspoons salt
1 heaping cup shortening or lard
2 cups warm water, or more
Sift flour and salt. Mix in bowl with lard or shortening and add water gradually. Knead well to make a smooth dough. Let it stand for 20 minutes in an oiled plastic bag. Make into small 2-inch balls and roll with a rolling pin on a floured board into a round disk. Cook on a hot, dry flat cast iron skillet, turning over once or until cooked on both sides to your liking.
Makes about 2 1/2 dozen, approximately 9 inches in diameter.
