crawfish etouffee

You possibly will not accept that you can lose weight while on a eating plan which includes crawfish etouffee but it can happen. The key is to not eat crawfish etouffee or other high calorie seafood every day but in moderation.

For example, I allow myself moderately high calorie food one meal per week. I eat a low calorie diet 6 days a week, say 1200 to 1600 calories per day, and then one day, I eat anything - within reason of course.

I have been using this method for the last 2 weeks and it has helped me to lose 5 kilos. I have not accelerated my exercise plan or taken any supplements or diet food. I have simply been conscious of what I eat 6 days per week and then eat whatever I like one day a week.

On my one day off|non diet day|free day per week, I like|prefer|tend|usually like to eat cajun food. I never imagined|thought|believed I could lose 5 kilos while eating cajun meals but am very pleased|happy|glad|elated to see it is possible|does work|can work|can happen. Crawfish Etouffee

Etouffee ("ay-too-tay") is a rich gravy served over fluffy white rice.

1/2 cup butter
1 cup chopped green onions
1/4 cup chopped parsley
2 pounds crawfish tails
1 cup crawfish fat, if available or 1 cup butter
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 teaspoon cornstarch (optional)
Lemon slices (optional)

Melt butter in large skillet or Dutch oven and saut? green onions until tender; about 10 to 15 minutes.

Add parsley, crawfish tails, crawfish fat (or butter), and salt and pepper to taste. Cook over medium heat 15 to 20 minutes.

If a thicker gravy is desired, dissolve cornstarch in a small amount of water and add to sauce.

Serve over steamed rice and garnish with lemon slices, if desired.
