You may not believe it is possible to lose weight while on a eating plan which includes chocolate chip cannoli but it is possible. It is fundamental to not eat chocolate chip cannoli or other high calorie desserts every day but in moderation.

For instance, I allow myself moderately high calorie food one day per week. I eat a healthy diet for most of the week, say 1500 to 1600 calories per day, and then one day, I eat whatever I want – within reason of course.

I have been sticking to this diet for the last few weeks and it has aided me to lose 5 kilos. I have not accelerated my exercise regime or taken any vitamins or diet food. I have simply been conscious of what I eat 6 days per week and then eat whatever I want one day a week.

On my one day off per week, I like to eat italian food. I never believed I could lose 5 kilos while eating italian meals but am very elated to see it does work. If you feel like trying some italian food, I suggest you make chocolate chip cannoli which is one of my favourite italian recipes.

1/4 to 1/2 mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 pound fresh ricotta cheese
3/4 cup SUPER-FINE sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
8 cannoli shells

In a food processor (or with an electric mixer) process ricotta until smooth in texture. Add the sugar and vanilla extract and process till blended. Fill the shells like the recipe above.

You can alter the recipe to make it a little healthier or with fewer calories as this can help you to lose 5 kilos easily. It worked for me and could help you to lose weight as well.
