cauliflower and potatoes

You might not accept that it is possible to lose weight while on a diet plan which includes cauliflower and potatoes but it is possible. It is crucial to not eat cauliflower and potatoes or other high calorie vegetables every day but in moderation.

This is what I do, I allow myself rich food one day per week. I eat a calorie controlled diet for 6 days of the week, say 1400 to 2000 calories a day, and then one day, I eat whatever I want – within moderation of course.

I have been eating this way for the last 4 weeks and it has aided me to lose 5 kilos. I have not accelerated my exercise regime or taken any supplements or diet food. I have only been careful of what I eat 6 days per week and then eat whatever I feel like one day per week.

On my one day off per week, I tend to eat indian food. I never imagined I could lose 5 kilos while eating indian meals but am very glad to see it does work. If you want to try some indian food, I advise you make cauliflower and potatoes which is one of my best loved indian recipes.

Cauliflower and Potatoes

1 cauliflower, cut into pieces
4 medium potatoes, peeled and cut into pieces
2 teaspoons tomato paste
Salt, to taste
4 teaspoons vegetable oil
1/4 teaspoon turmeric
1 teaspoon coriander powder
1 teaspoon red pepper
Cumin seed

Warm the oil in a medium frying pan with some cumin seed. When very hot, put vegetables and spices in and mix well with a spoon. Let cook over low heat until tender.

Serve with bread or rice.

You can alter the recipe to make it a little healthier or with less calories as this can aid you to lose 5 kilos rapidly. It worked for me and could help you to lose weight as well.
