carne asada (broiled meat)

You possibly will not believe you could lose weight while on a diet plan which includes carne asada (broiled meat) but it is feasible. The key is to not eat carne asada (broiled meat) or other high calorie beef/pork/lamb/veal every day but in moderation.

As an example, I allow myself rich food one meal per week. I eat a calorie controlled diet for 6 days of the week, say 1500 to 1800 calories per day, and then 1 day, I eat anything – without going crazy of course.

I have been eating like this for the last 2 weeks and it has helped me to lose 5 kilos. I have not accelerated my exercise plan or taken any vitamins or diet food. I have just been conscious of what I eat 6 days per week and then eat whatever I want one day per week.

I also find it makes things easier if you have some support when trying to lose weight and for that I registered with the Biggest Loser club. They have lots of tools to show you how to monitor your progress and attain your goals.

I never imagined|thought|believed I could lose 5 kilos while eating mexican meals but am very pleased|happy|glad|elated to see it is possible|does work|can work|can happen. Carne Asada (Broiled Meat)

2 pounds whole tenderloin, with all fat removed*
4 to 5 cloves garlic, peeled
1 teaspoon whole black peppercorns
1/2 teaspoon cumin
1/4 cup olive oil
2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
Salt, to taste

Slice tenderloin lengthwise, with the grain, into 1/8-inch thick slices. Place garlic, pepper, cumin, olive oil and lime juice in a molcajete and grind the mixture until the garlic is pur?ed and the spices are pulverized. Toss the oil mixture with the sliced meat and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours or overnight.

Broil the meat very close to a very hot fire to the desired degree of doneness. Add salt to taste and serve with refried beans and/or rice, rajas, guacamole, salsa and hot tortillas.

* Or use round steak pounded to about a 1/8-inch thickness. Cut the steak into four pieces.
