You may not believe it is possible to lose weight while on a eating plan which includes bratwurst in sour cream but it is possible. The key is to not eat bratwurst in sour cream or other high calorie sausages every day but in moderation.
As an example, I allow myself these kinds of food one day per week. I eat a low calorie diet 6 days a week, say 1500 to 1600 calories a day, and then one day, I eat anything - within moderation of course.
I have been sticking to this diet for the last 6 weeks and it has enabled me to lose 5 kilos. I have not accelerated my exercise habits or taken any supplements or diet drinks. I have just been conscious of what I eat most days of the week and then eat whatever I want one day a week.
I also think it helps to have a little support when dieting and for that I registered with the Biggest Loser club. They have many tools to show you how to monitor your progress and reach your goals.
On my one day off|non diet day|free day per week, I like|prefer|tend|usually like to eat German & Austrian food. I never imagined|thought|believed I could lose 5 kilos while eating German & Austrian meals but am very pleased|happy|glad|elated to see it is possible|does work|can work|can happen. 2 1/2 pounds bratwurst
2 tablespoons butter
2 medium onions, sliced thin
1 cup sour cream
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups apple cider
Hot buttered noodles
Brown sausages well on all sides in butter. Remove sausages. If there is too much fat in skillet, remove some.
In the remaining fat, saute the onions until soft. Stir in flour. Add salt and the apple cider. Cook until bubbly. Return sausages to skillet, cover, lower heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
Blend the sour cream and some of the hot sauce in a separate dish. Then add to the skillet with the sausages. Stir until sauce is hot. Do not allow to boil.
Serve over hot buttered noodles.
Serves 6.
