You possibly will not believe you can lose weight while on a diet which includes adobo but it is achievable. The key is to not eat adobo or other high calorie sauces & ingredients every day but in moderation.
This is what I do, I allow myself high calorie food one meal per week. I eat a healthy diet 6 days a week, say 1500 to 1800 calories per day, and then on the 7th day, I eat whatever I like - without going overboard of course.
I have been using this method for the last month and it has aided me to lose 5 kilos. I have not increased my exercise plan or taken any vitamins or diet food. I have only been careful of what I eat 6 days per week and then eat whatever I want one day of the week.
I also find it helps to have some support when trying to lose weight and for that I joined the Biggest Loser club. They have many tools to help you monitor your progress and reach your goals.
On my one day off|non diet day|free day per week, I like|prefer|tend|usually like to eat mexican food. I never imagined|thought|believed I could lose 5 kilos while eating mexican meals but am very pleased|happy|glad|elated to see it is possible|does work|can work|can happen. 3 oranges
1 lime
2 to 3 canned chipotle chiles or to taste
3 cloves garlic (1 tablespoon)
2 teaspoons dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon cumin seed
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons wine vinegar
1/2 teaspoon salt
This spicy marinade owes its unusual flavor to the chipotle, a smoked jalapeno chile. Chipotles are usually sold canned in tomato paste. Look for them at Mexican and Latin American markets. Adobo marinade goes particularly well with pork.
Juice the oranges and lime. Finely chop chiles and garlic. Place citrus juices, chilies, garlic, oregano, cumin, black pepper, vinegar and salt in blender and puree until smooth.
Makes enough marinade for 1 1/2 to 2 pounds meat or chicken.
